Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation Awards $5,000 to the Lloyd Center for the Environment

The Bristol County Savings Bank, through its Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation, has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Lloyd Center for the Environment, to support Environmental Science Learning Adventures for the Greater New Bedford and Fall River public elementary school students.

This financial support will make a significant difference in the lives of the students the Lloyd Center aims to reach, through the development and implementation of quality science education programs in local high-need, under-served, schools.

Bristol County Savings Bank is an active supporter in the communities in which it serves. For over 25 years, the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation has provided funding and support to these surrounding communities.

The Foundation was established in 1996 as part of the Bank’s 150th Anniversary celebration. Its purpose is to fund needs that contribute to the economic and the social well-being of the people and institutions located in the greater Taunton/Attleboro Region, the greater New Bedford/Dartmouth Region, the Fall River Region and the Pawtucket, Rhode Island Region, with particular emphasis in the areas of education and literacy, economic development and housing for the low-to-moderate-income population.
