Step Out Challenge

Join the Lloyd Center for the Environment for its first Step-Out Challenge!

Step outside the week of August 22, 2021, and enjoy nature while working towards your step goal. Submit a goal for the week, and after the week is done, update the Lloyd Center with your actual steps completed.

The competing individuals and 4-person team with the most steps will be recognized on social media and will receive a special prize package!

Why: Proceeds from the Step-Out Challenge will benefit the Lloyd Center’s Citizen Science projects, such as the Winter Waterfowl Count and the Biodiversity Initiative.

When: Registration opens June 21 and closes July 25.
LOG YOUR STEPS Sunday, August 22 - Saturday, August 28, 2021

Where: Preferably outside in nature as much as possible, but all steps for the week count. Average steps per mile = 2,000 steps.
(You can use this handy reference for converting activities ranging from Frisbee to Pilates.)

Entry: Individuals: Lloyd Center members: $35 Non-members: $45
Team (4 persons): Lloyd Center members: $125 Non-members: $150

Get creative with your teams: The Lloyd Center expects to have our board members forming teams and competing against each other. Families or friends make great teams. Also, we’d love to have some neighborhood teams compete.

Each participant will receive a Lloyd Center reusable bag, car magnet, and T-shirt.

Swag Pick-up: Pick-up swag on Wednesday, August 18, from 9:30 am - 12:00 noon, or Friday, Aug 20, from 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm, in the Lloyd Center lower lot. Please advise if you would like the items mailed the week of the event ($5 additional).
