Dive into Discovery: Support Students with Your Donation!

At the Lloyd Center, our hands-on field study programs brought the wonders of our coastal ecosystems to life for thousands of students last year. Through the simple, yet profound act of dipping nets into the estuary, students embark on a journey of discovery and place-based learning. They see fish, crabs, and other species, fostering a direct and personal connection with the natural world.

This year, we find ourselves in need of 20 large dip nets, essential tools for our explorations and studies. Each net costs approximately $65, a small price for the invaluable hands-on learning experiences they provide. These nets allow students to study and release marine and non-marine species back into their habitats, promoting respect, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness with nature.

We are reaching out to our community of supporters to help us meet this need. Your contribution will directly support our educational programs and ensure that every student has the opportunity to engage deeply with our coastal and watershed environments. Together, we can continue to inspire a legacy of environmental stewardship and affection for nature among students of all ages.

Please consider donating to help us purchase these vital educational tools.  Join us in making a difference—  one dip at a time.
