Applicants must be available for a minimum of 20 hours/week, Monday – Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

The Lloyd Center for the Environment is seeking a part-time Educator/Naturalist to perform a variety of tasks within the Education Department. Compensation level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children
  • Background in environmental science or education
  • Degree in a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good at multitasking
  • Positive attitude
  • Experience writing curriculum
  • CPR/First Aid certification

  • Teach field studies and traveling programs (students K- 12
  • Teach summer science programs
  • Assist in maintaining materials, props and equipment for educational programs
  • Assist in maintenance of freshwater and saltwater aquaria
  • Assist in curriculum development
  • Occasional weekend and evening work
  • Lead occasional outreach programs
  • Other duties as assigned
