EDUCATOR/NATURALIST

PART-TIME (2-3 days a week)

The Lloyd Center for the Environment is seeking a part-time Educator/Naturalist to perform a variety of tasks within the Education Department.  Compensation level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience working with children
• Background in environmental science or education
• Degree in a related field (or significant progress towards a degree in a related field)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good at multitasking
• Experience writing curriculum
• CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities:

• Teach field studies and traveling programs (students K- 12)
• Assist in maintaining materials, props and equipment for educational programs
• Assist in maintenance of freshwater and saltwater aquaria
• Assist in feeding exhibit organisms
• Assist in curriculum development
• Occasional weekend and evening work
• Other duties as assigned
