Lloyd Center Summer 2021 Internships

Environmental Education/Outreach Internships
Do you have a passion for environmental science? Are you experienced or interested in working with youth? The Lloyd Center for the Environment is in need of Environmental Education/Outreach Interns for the summer season of 2021! Environmental Education/Outreach Interns assist educators in teaching outdoor nature/science-based programs for our summer season.

The Lloyd Center’s educational philosophy is that hands-on learning brings the study of science to life! Additionally, interns assist with various outreach programs and aquaria maintenance. An Environmental Education/Outreach Internship at the Lloyd Center is an excellent way to gain classroom experience, work with live animals, and connect to the local community!

Responsibilities: Interns are responsible for assisting the Education/Naturalist staff in the development and implementation of activities for our Summer Programs. The Center's Summer Programs are introductory environmental programs for children six to nine years old, with more in-depth science courses for students entering 3rd through 8th grades.

Interns may assist with educational outreach programs off-site. Interns also help to maintain our fresh and saltwater aquaria.

Please note: Education Outreach Internships are full-time positions, Monday–Friday, 8am-4pm, with occasional weekend hours (part-time positions may also be considered).
