We are writing today to ask for your support of the Lloyd Center for the Environment’s 2017 Annual Fund. Our goal is to raise $125,000, 10% more than last year, to support the critical research, education and outreach programs the Lloyd Center provides to our community. The Annual Fund is a key piece of our operating budget. For the Center to continue to provide the full complement of programs throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, we rely on your assistance and generosity.

Your donation will support experiences like this:

“Visiting the Center was more than a day out of school for many of my students. They were able to apply what they learned in biology class and they also learned about their local habitat.” -High School Teacher

“I have fond memories of bringing my children to the Center. We did not have a lot of money when they were growing up, so being able to visit the Center for free and enjoy the trails, tanks and view became a weekly treat.” -Visitor

Examples of what your donation to the Lloyd Center Annual Fund will do:

• Feed our resident red-shouldered hawk, used in education programs, for one month ($100);
• Provide a week-long summer science program for a high-need student ($500);
• Provide four classrooms with an interactive field study ($1,000);
• Support a Research Intern for one semester ($2,500);
• Provide a year-long education program to an entire class ($10,000).

There are many exciting things happening at the Lloyd Center with the “Transforming A Legacy” capital campaign.  These accomplishments are separate from our annual operating needs for which we depend on annual support.

Please consider increasing your tax-deductible Annual Fund contribution. Thank you for partnering with the Lloyd Center in confronting the diversity of environmental issues existing today which will challenge us and generations to come.

Thank you for your participation.
