Lloyd Center’s George G. Haydock Award Recipient ~ Sandra Hall
The 2016 George G. Haydock Award was presented to Sandra Hall at the Center’s Annual Meeting held on Thursday, April 28.
The Haydock Award is the Center’s most prestigious award and is presented annually to an individual, selected by the staff and board of directors of the Lloyd Center who, in the spirit and tradition exemplified by long-time Lloyd Center supporter and nature enthusiast, Dr. George G. Haydock, is deemed to have personally made a most outstanding contribution to protecting the fragile nature of our coastal environment.
Sandy has generously donated her time and talent in creating the Lloyd Center’s signature Clambake art for many years. In addition to creating the custom ‘look’ of the Clambake, Sandy donates her original artwork every year to the Silent Auction.
Sandy has been a long-time supporter of the Lloyd Center, as well as numerous other local non-profit organizations. She is an excellent example of how someone can use their personal skill set to help support and promote the missions of so many varied organizations in our area.
A professional artist with 25 years of studio, exhibition, and teaching experience, Sandy holds a B.F.A. in Painting from the University of Massachusetts. She has also completed graduate level courses in silkscreen printing, intaglio etching, and stone lithography. Sandy is the owner of The Saltworks in Dartmouth.
