The Lloyd Center for the Environment’s Third Annual Music in the Woods is a free benefit for Lloyd Center members.

And this year, we are giving a FREE FAMILY MEMBERSHIP (valid for six months) to non-members that reserve a ticket. Tickets for non-members are $50 per carload.

Lloyd Center members and the general public are invited to enjoy a musical afternoon on the Center’s trails and grounds of the Lloyd Center with musicians from the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra (musicians and themes to be announced), Spindle River Rats (an eclectic blend of bluegrass, old-time folk, popular, western, and fiddle tunes), Gropina recorder quintet (renaissance music with instruments that are replicas of period recorders ranging from soprano to C bass), and other musical performers to be announced.

Enjoy lunch or a snack from the Oxford Creamery’s Food Truck – the Oxcart! The Oxcart will be available with their award-winning lobster rolls, burgers (including veggie), grilled cheese, mixed greens side salads and more, to purchase from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (cash only).

We are excited to announce that Cup of Jo Jo’s Coffee Truck will also be joining us at our Third Annual Music in the Woods! Jo Jo’s serves the best organic coffee/tea, frozen drinks, pastries, baked goods and more! Local, fresh & naturally delicious!

While at the Center, take a tour of our Living Building Challenge™ Welcome Center! Learn about the unique, innovative components of the 105% energy rejuvenating Welcome Center, the preliminary construction and plans for the main building, the campus upgrades, and the new Teaching Pavilion. This will also be an opportunity to ask questions that surround our projects.

Last, but certainly not least, we will also have self-guided activities for children and an owl presentation for each two-hour session!

Pre-registration is required. Click here to register, or email fcallen@lloydcenter.org to reserve your spot!

Lloyd Center members and non-members may reserve tickets for Saturday, October 7 (rain date October 8), and choose a preferred event time 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., or 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Registration covers one car. You and your guests must all be in that one car.
