Meet Bruce Traban, Lloyd Center Educator/Naturalist
Hey Y’all!
My name is Bruce Traban and I am a lifelong Dartmouth resident. I spent my childhood exploring the local trails and going to the Lloyd Center to check out all the exhibits they had to offer.
Not only did I visit, but I also volunteered and was a student of theirs. I attended Liz Moniz’s, (Education/Outreach Director), “I Can Paddle, Canoe?” program, and now I’m happy to say I am hosting my own summer programs as a naturalist/educator at the Lloyd Center!
I went to Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School for environmental science and technology, and then studied at UMass Amherst in the field of natural resource conservation with a concentration in forestry.
So my passion is with the trees of the forests, and I’m always learning. On days I’m not teaching, you may find me at the Center taking care of the animals or tending trails while whistling to the birds. Feel free to stop on by and walk the Center’s trails that are open dawn to dusk!
