Teacher feedback on virtual programs:

“You did a great job with the presentation today. It was such a treat for me to watch the students showing interest and hearing their comments and questions as they were attentive and interacting with what you shared. Again, such a pleasure today! The kids were loving it even through the screen.”  — 3rd Grade Feathery Focus Teacher

Since the beginning of 2020, the Lloyd Center has:

  • Taught almost 10,000 students in a combination of virtual and in-person programs;
  • Provided innovative experiences for community members through outdoor activity tables, interactive trail experiences, and our new Music in the Woods event – an added benefit for Lloyd Center members;
  • Provided in-person Summer Programs – Young Naturalist and Coastal Studies – for nearly 200 students.

Our summer was filled with the delightful smiles, squeals, and queries of learners of all ages. Here’s a favorite testimonial:

“Wow. What an amazing week my child had. We haven’t seen her that happy in a long while with the last year we’ve had. We just arrived home and she became quite sad that she isn’t returning … I have heard wonderful things about your summer program and now know why!”- 2021 Summer Program Parent

Another great bit of recent news is that after last year’s public health hiatus with Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, students are once again able to get hands-on experience working on the area’s first Living Building ChallengeTM construction project.

Will you make your year-end donation today to support the Lloyd Center? Your generosity enables us to inspire lifelong respect and affection for nature in the next generation.

Sincerely,

Otto and Rachel signatures
