Wednesday Bird Walks Return to the Lloyd Center

Wednesday Bird Walks are returning to the Lloyd Center property, which offers a diversity of habitats that attract birds year-round. Oak-hickory forest, cedars and hollies, red maple swamp, vernal pools, estuary, salt marsh, and a bird feeding station, all host species of songbirds, raptors, waterfowl and shorebirds, depending upon the season. This series covers fall through spring when viewing is prime for migrant and resident bird life.

On these walks, designed for beginning and expert birders alike, we’ll walk the property and follow the action, including a stop at our bird feeder station where perhaps the Red-headed Woodpecker that dazzled birders during the winter months in 2021 will return. Koko the Screech Owl will also be shown at the conclusion of these walks.

Pre-registration is required. If you have specific questions regarding the program, please call Jamie Bogart at 508-990-0505 x 23, or email jbogart@lloydcenter.org. Items to bring: Hiking footwear, birding binoculars, camera.
