Young Naturalist Summer Programs 2022

The Young Naturalist Program at the Lloyd Center is a way for children ages 6-9 to enjoy a fun-filled summer of exploration, discovery and wonder of the natural world around them. Throughout the summer, children will learn about the amazing creatures and habitats around the Lloyd Center using hands-on games, activities, crafts and trail walks.

Spaces are limited and they fill up fast! Pre-registration is required.

Whether looking in the sea, sky, forests or ponds, we will be sure to have an exciting day experiencing the remarkable things in the world around us.

Members’ children and grandchildren under the age of 18 are eligible for discounted Member rates on Summer Programs.

Lloyd Center Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds/cancellations must be made in writing to by June 13, 2022, for all Lloyd Center Summer Programs.

After June 13, 2022, if your child can no longer attend the Summer Program due to symptoms of COVID-19, a doctor’s note will be required in order to receive a refund.

Due to the current health crisis, our summer programs have been changed in accordance with new guidelines from state and local levels.

We appreciate your patience during our time of restructure. We understand our new Summer Program offerings may cause scheduling conflicts and concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Grade Levels
The Young Naturalist program is now open to students ages 6-9. Unfortunately, due to our new health and safety policies, we are unable to register children of the age of 5 into our Young Naturalist program.

Our Young Naturalist program will run from 9:30 am- 2:30 pm.

This timing allows for a staggered drop off and pick up with our Coastal Studies program. Therefore, these times will be strictly enforced.

This timing also allows for proper deep cleaning and sanitizing of space and equipment.

This program will be held primarily outdoors during this time.
